Agreed. If you have a shackled or sleeping person and you can't kill them, I'd go ahead and rethink your strategy.

Or choice of career.

Assassins in general are plenty powerful for a number of reasons. They do not need an insta-kill device (nor would I like it even if they weren't as powerful).

You can always subdue and then emote garroting or whatever.

We have one of these. It's called /c subdual full.

I have the feeling it would be too easily abused.

Plus, the assassin PRC already has death attack, which is nothing short of completely amazing.
