Okay, this has been very successful in the past, on... that other server. :cry: Now then. First of all, what music, if any, do you listen to while playing EfU? I'm looking for either a genre of music (i.e. Jazz, Rock, Bagpipes) or a specific band (i.e. Barenaked Ladies, Carlos Santana, or Weird Al)

Now, for the second part of the question. This is that pesky little 2.0 part!

What songs would you either envision your character singing, or imagine to be their theme song? I'll start:

I normally don't listen to music while playing NWN, as my computer sucks royally. However, when I do, it's usually Clapton or Santana. There's a little Skynyrd in there too...

So why not establish an EFU radio station? Run it off shoutcast .. play it through winamp ...?

I don't know how practical this might be for large numbers of users but I've played a hosted campaign where the DMs ran their own soundtrack to suit the environment and the players just tuned in ....

Did anyone else watch thomas' suggestion for Alliverns theme song and just get a bit worried that he's really an evil madman bent to taking over the whole city with a legion of mad undead things, also i cant see him as anything other than as a gnome now.

Anyway to the point of the thread:-

Tend to listen to a rock mix when playing EFU with my evil media player seeming to know when to play certain songs to mess with my head. So dont really have certain songs for my characters but at a push Dawn of Battle by Manowar does kinda sum up Connar when he gets pissed off and goes looking for something to smash with Helms might. As for little Kaylee, Wishmaster by Nightwish is the closest that might suit her.

No one takes these things seriously anyways. I can't remember the theme song I wanted for him anyways.

Moffat, I officially give you my patented Dragonfire Token (R)! This enables you to kill me! Sorta. I will give you one of my own, custom-made death emotes, filled with gore and pain, all inflicted on me! This is for knowing Nightwish exists, by the way. Update!

I love music. I really, really do.

However, I only play it whenever my characters are in combat. Here's my current playlist :

Bat Country, Beast and the Harlot, M.I.A., [Avenged Sevenfold]. Lay Down [Priestess], Through the Fire and Flames, Revelution (sp?) Deathsquad, Once in a Lifetime, Black Fire, Fury of the Storm [Dragonforce], Black Friday Rule, Irish Jig, Pirate Song, What's Left of the Flag, and the Worst Day Since Yesterday [Flogging Molly].

But it isn't strictly that. That's my most listened-to crap.

The reason, my good undead guy, is that it's fun to imagine me dead. Or so I've been told... it's a reward for reminding me how awesome Nightwish is.

Ahh I see.... in which case you may join the great shuffle of the undead legion as we stalk the lands in search of tasty brians. Though you have left me wanting to listen only Nightwish while playing EFU, not really the best thing but not bad.
