Please make these Visual effects show up when the spell is cast. I mean, I understand some buffs should be concealed to prevent metagaming, but It's kind of illogical to have a 'flaming sword' without being able to see the flames. I mean Obviously IC someone should see that kind of thing when the spell is cast.
PLease to be fixing.

They take it out to reduce lag. Yes it looks bitchin' I know. But still... If they gave that back, they would have to give back alot of lols.

It would be nice to see it since the alchemists fire does the effect anyway. And that is a good indication to the caster that the buff has worn off.
Also to see a guy standing there with a massive flaming double axe, would intimidate me greatly and make me probably not make that snide little sarcastic comment I would have otherwise made.

I personally like it how it is.
The Dm's in the past have said what you see is what you get. And some of the effects we would see normally are downright stupid, or shouldn't be there per cannon. So Flame Weapon explodes into fire on contact, rather then burns continuously. When they hit something and it doesn't burn, then the castings out.

Alchemist's Fire is a chemical substance that burns. We'll leave Flame Weapon and Darkfire as just heating the metal.

When I first started playing, I was always quite confused as to why the visuals were removed.
At least I know that now. Anyway, I quite like the fact that not everone can have uber looking flaming weapons. It adds to the atmosphere of the people of Sanctuary fighting for thier lives, not LOLUBER warriors with super powerful weapons that could kick the metaphorical tail of anything that comes near them.
