Clan Stoutheart - EFU's Oldest Player Run Dwarf Faction

The "Introductions and Group Management" section is a great addition to the forums. Thanks a bunch guys.

We welcome new and motivated members to our faction, Clan Stoutheart, the oldest player run faction at EFU. No faction has a richer history or greater potential for freedom in making your concept for involvement come true. Fun for faction members and those we interact with is our number one goal. We hope to have many more quality participants in the near future.

We do our recruiting in game, but please find below the blurb I send on the forums to new recruits as they initiate the application process. It may give interested players a good idea of what we're looking for and what they can expect.

Find a member and talk to them in game for the rest.

Certain formalities should be recognized. It's part of the fun and socialization into Clan Stoutheart. As discussed in game, please write an "in character" letter to Dakul Ironbeard, my character, to introduce your character to the clan and indicate interest in joining the faction. The letter can be sent via private message to this forum account: "socialmisfit".

Character history, reasons for wanting to join, and what you would like to do as a member are all valid topics for the letter. The letter can be as short or long as you like. The only requirement is that you write it "in character" (IC). You may also have some IC tasks to complete as a part of the recruitment process.

The process, including the letter, helps to show the faction that 1) you can follow up on forum related administrative and IC tasks, and 2) that your character is more than a passing idea. Both are qualities that will help you mesh well as a faction member. If your character is not your "main", or a strong #2, I would urge you to reconsider whether or not you want to be in a faction that demands active participation as much as it promises to be fun.

Please let me know if you have any other questions. We're trying to encourage as much IC interaction as possible, so please handle as much as you can IC'ly.

I'm always available via the forums for questions or comments regarding the faction.

Thanks, and enjoy.
