The Morndinsamman

~ page 1 ~

Good Reader,

I have written this book to share information about the Shield Brothers on High, which in our language is known as the Morndinsamman. We all depend on each other for our survival here in this refuge amongst so many enemies. The stouts, or the dwarves as they are commonly known, are a noble people who have battled many of these adversaries since our earliest histories.

In the spirit of open dialogue, this short essay about our faith is designed to help build familiarity and trust among our allied races. Hopefully you will all see that there are many similarities between the gods of my people and yours, and this will help us to understand each other more easily.

Below is a list of common titles of our clergy, and a short description of the blessed patrons of our stoutish faith. Of course these brief descriptions do not do justice to the magnificence and divinity of the Morndinsamman.

But what mere mortal can fully grasp the awesome power and glory that is the gods of any race? Only through decades of prayer and servitude can one begin to gain awareness of the totality of their nature. I have only received my calling as a faenor of mother Berronar Truesilver a few short months ago. Yet, each waking cycle brings greater understanding and joy as I am allowed a tiny glimpse at these holiest of holy symbols of our culture.
