I have had dealings with this man Vincent before, and I have heard the same rumors as you. I have been quite interested in learning the truth about him myself, as you may have already guessed.

I can tell you this much. He claims to have come from a small town not far off the Sword Coast that I have never heard of in all my travels. Even more curious, he said that he is the only survivor of this town, with everyone else in it dead. Word of events like that tends to travel far and wide, and no news of an entire town being wiped out ever reached my ears.
