A few more dyes(browns)

I noticed (maybe I just didnt see them) that a few of the brown dyes arent in there.

The ones I wanted most of all were the TAN's that have the colour of a rothe hide.

Theres also a dull grey/brown that the robes of grumbar priests wear that I cant find in the dyes (not sure what the colour is called)

I know that there is 3 shades of each of those browns from other servers.

Maybe they're in another shop, but they arent in the tailoring shop in sanctuary anyway.

Any chance of those being added?

I absolutely agree with this post, as I've played a Druid, and currently have a ranger. I would LOVE to see more realistic dark brown dyes, similar to those of the rothe hides. The current browns are very tan, in color, and not woodsy.

Secondly, and I beg for this, that you guys add some proper GREEN dyes. I know you really can't for the cloth, and leather, though I wouldn't mind seeing Olive tones. The metals however, in my opinion, could use improvement. The 'Dark Green' is a minty green color, and I know that the green metal dyes are pretty nice, dark, and woodsy. I think this could help alot, while it's not a huge deal...i'd love to see them added :)

You can always try color overrides, they seem to work wonders.

If you're interested in seeing this happen, provide a list of the specific bioware named crafting dyes that are desired, and they can be added.

Yeah I've seen some colour overrides but other people wont ever see it the way you do, with the new patch 1.67 coming with a new palette system it will probably open the whole selection thing up , and you can get rid of those shades you never liked or modify them so they're less garish on the eye.

As for making new coloured dye pots in the module, its not hard.

1) Just find any dye pot in the paint items section (craft/tradeskill) (if you're doing cloth grab one of those)

2) Right click on it, choose EDIT COPY

3) Then change the BLUEPRINT from x2_dyem033 to x2_dyemXXX where XXX is the number 000-063 of your new colour. Make the tag of a similar form for clarity. The m stands for metal, l for leather and c for cloth. 061 is the hidden reflective mirror colour for example.

A guy on the vault has gone through and done this for ALL the colours here: 190 or so dye kits in all. Just include the ones you want to add. http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Prefabs.Detail&id=54

p.s. Olives are definitely there

Is there perhaps a slight chance of getting an actual black metal dye? The current one looks like more of a dark copper/rust.

I think that is actually the black metal one.

There is "pure black" but thats a hidden special colour that can be put into any colour/texture source but it looks weird.

It really is only suitable to D.M controlled creatures of shadow.

Though it may be possible for some special magic armors to have that colour, like for example something linked with shar.

Because of some weird Bioware bizarrity, the 'black metal' dye works very weirdly in most situations. IE, it retains the lighting pattern of whatever area your character logs onto the module.

Logging on outside of any building in Sanctuary will give it a greenish/turquoise look, akin to Watch armor.

Logging on inside an inn or the Town Hall will give it a reddish, brownish tint. This is by far the most common look, since people tend to spawn in one of three buildings, all of which have this 'look' on the armor when they do.

Logging on inside any buildings with the Drow Interior toolset will give it a dark blueish look. This is by far my favorite, and the reason why my last PC would always walk to the Book Shop, then log off to get a better look to his armor. (Strictly OOC, of course. :] )

Hope it helps get a few of the armors in the module closer to their owners' ideas of how they should look.

I noticed this too, but all the different colours can be achieved by simply using a corresponding dye. For instance, the turquoise look is the exact same as the dark turquoise metal dye. Now, I never cared for the copper/rust or the dark blue, so I do not know if their respective dyes can be bought at the moment but there must be an identical dye in the toolset. Just needs adding.

Sad to hear there's no real black, though.

I think there is a midnight blue colour somewhere that looks pretty dark.

BUt the addition of more of the tints to the game is up to the d.m's and I think as usual other things take precendence over this cosmetic addition.

Either way we'll see it when we see it.
