Resting is no longer possible in the bedrooms of the House of Light. The free rest that was availble in the main temple area is gone, too, though I can unstand that one being taken away.

The public free resting was removed, I'm sure the bedroom resting can be fixed easily enough.

You guys need to get added to our faction wand.

High on my list of priorities, but there's some time-sensitive stuff that's ahead of it, and I need to get that out of the way first.

I thought the House of Light was intended for poor people to rest there, or am I mistaken?

That's the theory -- it's not supposed to be giving free unlimited resting to anybody though (as it was earlier, I think). We may hook up a system whereby poor people can rest for free in the lower area.

Hmmm... I was using it to rest because I'm playing a cleric, and she finds it the best place to contemplate and meditate....

She'd pay to rest there, if she had to.

If I recall correctly, it's possible to add a check to see if you have more or less than a certain sum of gold, and if you have less, allow a rest. So if you add an npc with a dialogue option tied to such a check for say, more or less than ten gold, and allow a free rest if less, and you should be golden. This could, of course, be abused by banking all your gold, but you probably lose more from the banking fee than you gain on the free rest, so that's pretty much moot.

That is one of the systems that we are considering.

Please have a free place for us homeless to stay. I like the idea of having those with a certain amount of gold or less in the inventory be able to stay for free, while those of wealth are not encouraged (or should be ashamed) and disallowed. Maybe there's a way to include gold saved at the bank in the equation so that total wealth can be more appropriately determined?

I too am playig a Cleric was resting there as well for the same reasons - meditation and contempletion. I also found it a good palce to take wounded people, heal them and give them a message of helping other people out.

I think it would be great to have an NPC that accepted tithes for resting - I know I would be happy to give higher tithes to the House of Light to continue their good work.
