I was just wondering, can insects be added to the druid's animal empathy targets? It seems that they are 'animals' in the underdark, and EfU druids can shift into bugs already.
Animal empathy and bugs
We are more likely to prevent druids from shifting into insects than allowing them to AE them -- and actually, I think that Animal Empathy mechanics are built into the game engine and can't be changed via scripting anyway.
Would a druid even consider bugs like the fire beetle a part of nature or an abberation of some sort?
Druids dislike golems, undead and heavy shifts to nature. If a druid sees a Monkeyfly with a laser attached to its head, he'll probably not like it.
But unless giant beetles were some sort of a scientific thing gone wrong - they'll consider them beasts like any other, though not neccessarily animals.
What's a druid going to do to communicate with a bug: release pheromone trails from his druid gland? :P Bugs are simple-minded.
Druids cannot create connection with insects or bugs. Their way of thinking is so much different from the druids way that it just isn't really possible. They are on a "different level" of thinking, unlike animals and druids.
Wait, do animals communicate with Druids through a mental (magical) connection?
Animals and Druids project images in the head of one another, I believe. By this simple communication, they can understand eachother, but communcating seems a bit over the top.
Yeah. I'd gues it's more like "hey that dude seems nice. I don't think he is bad at all. I actually think he is even nice"- kinda understanding, more than "dude. Lets be buddies" kinda communicating.
Paha Poika Yeah. I'd gues it's more like "hey that dude seems nice. I don't think he is bad at all. I actually think he is even nice"- kinda understanding, more than "dude. Lets be buddies" kinda communicating. It took me some time to actually understand what you said there, but you're right. 8)
