Should the medicine lady in the lower market have the tools necessary to experiment with herbalism for sale?

She probably should!

Perhaps potion bottles as well. There doesn't seem to be any potion bottles for sale in Lower at the moment.

There is a close to lower place to buy them, go and explore.

I understand there are other places, but it seems odd that the Lower Market place doesn't provide them, it is a market place after all and provides other arcane crafting supplies. The Upper market has potion bottles.

It just seems like it would make more sense to purchase potion bottles in the market place.

The Lower Market Place is essentially a flea market clearance sale of crap that the NPCs stole off the dead bodies of their predecessors, mixed with whatever other scrap metal they've found lying around, or managed to cobble together themselves. (with the notable exception of Harrison I suppose), so while it's not too much a stretch to say that they could have magic potion bottles for crafting available, it's very reasonable that they would not.

Its unreasonable to think that people would not have a vast stock of magic potion bottles. They should be flooding the place.

First of all, Potion bottles contain no special properties of the magical liquid itself. They can be put into any shape size or color container. The material used for potions has always been described as standard glass, but hypothetically thats not even necessary.

In other words all you need is some type of bottle, jug, vial, or empty used potion bottle.

With the amount of potions used on a daily basis on this server, any market that would wish to sell them could and should be able to get them. Forcing brewers to leave lower for things that the Crone is well supplied with seem highly irregular to my personally.

I would be in favor of getting an empty bottle BACK into your inventory each time you gulp down an ale, or drink a potion.

I figure the availability of potion bottles would be actually better in Lower - because they could just use empty ale bottles! Hell they drink enough down there!!

Maybe she could be kinda like the bloke in the Hold and offer to get rid of things like ability decrease for a certain amount of coin?

It helps the people who are banned from upper and will give the medicine lady a chance to buy herself a new pot.

She doesn't need a new pot, and this isn't a kindergarten! Be banned from Upper and suffer the consequences.

Maybe Cyrus could sell some empty bottles of booze for a few coins.

What would you want to do with an empty bottle of booze? Not that it wouldn't be a damn fine business for Cyrus.

Potions with beer in the bottom taste better imo.

I think it's cooler if, when you're banned from Upper, you have to send couriers to go collect potion bottles for you and stuff.
