Letter to Cyrus

Dear Señor Cyrus,

It is with heavy heart that I write you this letter. Long have you been considered little more than eccentric halfling with a mind to neutrality and a reluctance for side taking in conflicts. It is thus that it bemuses the SPELLGUARD ORDER that you have employed and are sponsoring those that have started a campaign of murder and terrorizing of our Agents. They have been linked to one instance of vile torture and needless murder of a full fledged Agent, and are suspected to have had a hand in the slaying of two other Agents.

It is, señor Cyrus, that I do not consider you a foolish halfling. Three Agents are dead or missing, and those suspected or known to have been involved in such are also workers within your inn. Perhaps it is you made a mistake in hiring them however. Thus, it is in the nature of The Spellguard to offer you a chance for redemption. It is that I have been authorized to act on behalf of my employers and to make you an offer:

You will remove from your employ the one who calls himself Pierce Danielson. Also, you will remove from your employ the axe-puta named Elisandra. Those known as Kongo, Malcer, Zeezin and Aurin will be banned from your bar. You will also make public condemnation of these idiosa for the fools they are, and encourage any and all to avoid them for the trouble they invite to your Lower City. Finally you will yourself give your word that you will finance the placing of a bounty of 5000 gold each on Pierce, Elisandra, Aurin and Malcer- payable to any who can bring them to Upper Sanctuary for trial. Such I will post myself, but I expect you to honour such a financial arrangement.

It is that if you agree to this then you will reaffirm yourself as a simple businessman with poor standards when it comes to hiring staff. Failure to do as we ask however will only lead us further to believe you involved with and sponsoring the murder of Spellguard Agents. It is that you are not a foolish Halfling, and well understands what that will mean for you, your bar, and the people of Lower.

Lt. Associate Alejandro Garcia de Coronado,

I can not think of a time where me, or my large ogre friend have ever stepped in the way of a Watch or Spellguard patrol of my premises. If you're representing the council then feel free to come in and arrest him and any other ruffians that inhabit my bar. I give them no protection though I'd ask for you to pay for damages to my bar. I'd bring some friends as he's got a couple of his own. Good hunting, Associate. The Crone maintains that it just sells drinks and provides some back rooms for gambling and fighting. Oh, and yes, I do have a license to sell my booze. There's not yet a council law saying that having a criminal walk through your building's a crime, except in the case of Aleczumberzeil te Esoterotept, whom I've noted stops by here on occasion. I've been vocal in my condemnation of the man but what can a poor halfling do when the Spellguard and the Watch fail to capture him? Sometimes I get bullied into things and I'm sorry, sir.

-- Cyrus Doors

Doors,

It is that you try to take me for a fool if you think to convince me this Pierce and Elisandra are not employed in your establishment.

Protecting these two murderers is a mistake you will soon regret.

-Lt. Associate Alejandro Garcia de Coronado
