Letter to Breena Watchever; Last Stand

Lady Watchever,

A man known as Vincent has told me that you are familiar with him. If you could please write your honest impression of him and send it to the Watch house, I would be most thankful. Also, if you could mention your thoughts on his obsession with collecting curiousities and other possessions, it will help my investigation.

Thank you, Private Brinson

Private Brinson,

I am pleased you think well enough of me to ask my opinion of Vincent. I have spoken to him many times, and of late have become aware that he is much troubled. It seems that he accidently struck another after being dazed by the spell of an enemy, and his companion died due to this attack.

His grief was sincere, and I've no doubt it was unintended. But there is a dark cloud that has touched his soul. We have spoken together, and prayed together that he might be absolved of this heavy burden that troubles him so.

Vincent is a member of the Shelter staff, and has been helpful in the initial stages of the development. He has assisted myself and other members of the Mithrilsoul Company on contracts, has proven his valor and is a fine companion. I have found him to be a trustworthy and dependable man, and a skilled healer. I hope that he will be allowed to help others at the Shelter, despite whatever misgivings you and the Watch might have of him.

There is much good about the man, yet he has made mistakes it seems. As have we all. I would ask, what concerns the Watch about this man? The nature of his faith is mysterious to me, as he claims to be a servant of one known as "The Giver." I recall nothing of this diety from my temple training, though it was of course more than six decades ago.

If you've further questions, I'd be pleased to speak to you further.

And if any of my Mithrilsouls ever express interest in serving the Watch alongside of you as did good Regnak, they also have my highest recommendation.

Faenor Breena Watchever
