My name is Jacen Pulzyn and I am a relatively new arrival to Sanctuary. I wish to make an inquiry in regards as to whether or not the library has any records of vampires and vampire activity within or relating to Sanctuary.

A letter arrives at the Shrine of Ascension and is addressed to Adelia Tyrell. It reads:

To the respected former councilor Adelia Tyrell,

My name is Jacen Pulzyn. I am a newcomer to Sanctuary but already I believe I have a great purpose in this city. To put my skills to use, however, I require your's and Oghma's aid and knowledge--of which I have heard many great and endearing things about from the many citizens of Sanctuary. I seek any information on vampires--both in general and specifically in regards to any related to the city of Sanctuary itself.

Any information you could tell me would be greatly appreciated and of great use--both in my own personal goals and, possibly, in defense of this city. I do suspect that perhaps this inquiry may be received with some suspicion, but if you would invite me to explain myself in greater detail I would be more than happy to do so. I may be reached at the Last Stand.

I have no specific information about vampires in the area, but I might be able to recall various folk wards and tavern tales about fighting them, if you really want to know. Maybe you should leave a letter for the Seekers? They tend to get out more than I do these days.

If you have reason to suspect that there is a vampire here in Sanctuary, please meet a member of the Watch and explain it to them. There is little information to be had about vampires generally, most are folktales and rumors, but I can tell you what I know if you meet me sometime. A halfling at New Dunwarren called Drin may also be able to help you out, he has a knowledge of the undead which rival my own.

Just curious, but why are you interested in vampires?

There have been reports of vampires in the region in the past, but the last recorded sighting of such is over a year old now, and that was not in the city.

If you have information on the presence of a powerful undead creature such as this, I urge you to notify the Watch, or come speak with an Agent at Serena Tower at your soonest pleasure.
