Citizens,

The honorable Councillor Leonard Merrickson has perished at the ghastly hand of Aleczumberzeil te Estereotept, the Scholar. He fell while fighting against the Scholar by the Low Way, with Sergeant Agrael Lothor, Agent James Petrov and Private Parkus Swift. Despite doing everything that we could, we could not save Councillor Merrickson from the wrath of the Scholar.

Thankfully, he was spared animation, though his body was not recoverable as it was burned by the heinous Scholar.

I would take this opportunity to remind all citizens that the Scholar is an extremely dangerous individual. Do not attempt to hunt him without -at least- informing the Watch, and certainly not without a large group of capable men.

If you have information on the Scholar, or his associates, please write a letter to myself at the Watch House, for the sake of the entire city and its continued existence.
