[Pearce Danielson, Lucius Westmore, and Seeker Tom]

Friend,

I consider the Beacon, the Crone, the Seekers, and the Black Stags the current core of the forces working to ensure a more powerful Lower Dunwarren. We need to meet in the immediate future and begin discussing available resources and a plan of action to exterminate the Slugcrawl. We have a number of things to discuss, including:

How to best use the terrain of the Canal Ward to our advantage, and the best sort of attack to employ.

Additional allies, including the dwarves who have taken roost in Upper, the Society, the Scholar, and potentially making use of the Watch and Spellguard.

The role that more potent forces, such as Etorix, may have in the attack and Lower as a whole.

From there, it may be time to discuss plans for Lower as a whole and how we may best ensure that our plans come to fruitation.

Mister Guerini

Commander Guerini,

Winston's men, the Angels, will not likely support any such attack as they are well fixated upon protecting their home. As for myself, being totally unattached from the Beacon, I will lend what aid I can when I can. My inclination is to believe that the Slugcrawl goblins cannot be defeated without vastly superior tactics and an assault would prove extraordinarily dangerous. Regardless, and as the Seekers are far more learned on than I, the vanguard of the Slugcrawl goblins is this Great Slug. He has not even, at this point in time, even been seen by Sanctuarian scouts. If we are to fight it, and I believe we inevitably shall, we must discover it and its weaknesses. This should be a priority above all others.

As for allies, I would enjoy to see a joint operation between Upper and Lower Sanctuary but I am afraid it will not be possible considering the hostilities recently. The pride of the various factions and their inability to cooperate regardless of the costs may be the undoing of us all. But, on a more optimistic note, if you were to begin such negotiations I would be more than happy to assist you in forging a peace between the states.

The dwarves will answer if they are called on for aid. They are benevolent, brave, and prideful. I do not see them refusing.

The Spellguard may help, but will immediately withdraw if they feel threatened. The wizardly sort must be like that, I suppose.

The Watch and Seekers I have already discussed.

I dislike the idea of placing any trust in this Dark Dragon. I even consider the notion that he may be partially responsible for this mess. If you feel it worth it to try speaking with him, well, I suppose you should.

The Scholar should not be trusted in the slightest. His powers, both tangible and intangible, are great and his mind is admittedly superior to my own. I would not invest anything in him or his macabre entourage.

Whatever should happen, we absolutely must take into consideration the risks to Lower Sanctuary. Caution first. As for tactics, there are two ideas that I have entertained- and I admit myself to be no superior strategist.

The goblins have the following strengths, as far as I see it, followed by a means to counter it: - Vastly superior numbers. - A small space coupled with ranged artillery could cripple their numerical advantage and reduce their will to fight.

- A good mix of infantry and archers. - We'll have to fight their warriors in a melee, but we might be able to avoid their archers with strategic choice of a position.

- A single, superior combattant of unknown power. - I'm at a total loss. May Ilmater guide the Seekers to find the weakness of this beast so that we may crush its wrath before it strikes us.

Keep in touch, commander, and may Lord Ilmater be with us all.

Lucius

Aurin,

My house is your house, we'll talk.
