Eldath clerical alignments

Eldath

Alignment: Neutral Good

Cleric Alignments: CG, CN, NG

Shouldn't there be a LG alignment instead of a CN?

Nope!

Isn't She NG? And can have Paladins? If she is one of those exceptions, please kill me.

I forget if she actually has paladins, but she doesn't seem particularly much like material for a paladin patron. >.> She is NG, however; blame WotC.

She has paladins to beat on all the nasty people beating on the nice people. It's a truly vicious circle.

SKRILLIX! O_O Yes, this off topic is justified.

Eh, wait...

Mr.CheezIt, I love you.

So this proves it, fix the fricken clerical alignment to LG please!

Paladins aren't Clerics, they are Paladins.

Eldath does not allow LG Clerics but allows Paladins, just like Sune. FR has all of these 'one step' and basic rules but, unfortunately, there are exceptions.

Much like Velsharoon and Yurtrus.

SKRILLIX!

Then how can she be NG? She must allow that "One step away" alignment.

Thomas_Not_very_wise She must allow that "One step away" alignment.
Snoteye Nope!
9lives FR has all of these 'one step' and basic rules but, unfortunately, there are exceptions.

The alignments provided to her Clerics make a lot of sense to me, seeing as Clerics are living embodiments of their faith; Chaotic Neutral, while not one step away, is a reasonable alignment for a pacifist deity. For that matter, LG also makes sense for Paladins considering Paladins are champions of that same faith, and have entirely different responsibilities.

In my opinion, and as an example, a Paladin of Eldath is more likely to take skills like Persuade and Heal than Craft Weapon or Taunt. During peace time, they'd more than likely act as negotiators or mediators than go out looking for another war to fight. There are lots of reasons for a Paladin of Eldath to exist.

Okay, I'll stop. But exceptions are .
