Hello guys,
I know this is an issue of sorts, as I've heard others complain about being hit in melee after downing invis potions and stuff.
My 'report' might actually be a feature, so I'll describe what happened:
I went invisible by drinking a potion against a few troglodytes. Unfortunately, they maimed me down to -5 HP before it took effect. As soon as it did settle, they switched targets to an earth elemental in the party, just a foot or so away.
They battled the elemental until the summon got killed. I was lying at their feet at -6, stabilized.
At this point, one of the trogs randomly switched target to me, hitting me once and killing me.
Now, I can see how this can be justified as a feature of the AI: Maybe a trog tripped on something invisible, and decided it was better to cleave first and ask questions later. Sure. But doesn't that make things a bit unbalanced, since a party member who's right next to the fallen comrade (as was the case in this particular example) can't heal them. Obviously it's harder to justify the healing, but in the name of balance, I say let invis be invis.
Obviously, if it is a bug, you can disregard all this idle speculation, and squash away!

Well, squash away, assuming it isn't some sort of monstrous Bioware clusterfubomb.
Or a desirable thing. (I certainly hope it isn't.)

Yes, this seems to be a terrible bug. I could not heal a party member, but a trog could smash her skull- Dubblyah Tee Eff?

When you become invisible, if you are within a certain distance from an enemy they are still aware of you (they hear or feel you, or whatever). They will still attack and often pursue until you move far enough away from them that you're no longer in this zone of awareness.
What it does do is reduce their AB and give them a 50% chance to miss you while close, unless they have blindfight.
You cannot be targetted by spells or items in this state, therefore your teammates cannot heal you unless they drink a See Invisibility potion.
What might've happened is that the enemy took an attack of opportunity on the summon as the summon moved into its threat area and then returned to you, the original target.
I don't think its a bug at all, there is a bug however where archers continue to shoot at targets after the target turns invisible, even from screens away, which is a Bioware issue.

Kaelle, I'm 100% sure the monster was idle for at least one round before it turned on me, and killed me. So the AoO theory is not what happened (though I've seen it happen before).
As for the monsters being 'aware' of your presence: I certainly agree. It's easier to cleave at something you can't see, than bandage something you can't see. But then you enter a grey zone - Purple Crystals, for example, heal by touch, so, theoretically, you could blindly prod things until you found your invisible partner and healed them.
Also, for me, it presents a balance issue. If a monster is capable of hitting and even killing you without drinking a potion, your party members should be able to heal you.

It's a feature.

No, it's likely just an AI/lag issue, which means it'll be very difficult to do anything about.

It is an annoying bug, and I do sympathize with people that die to it. Sadly, there is very little we can do about the rare instances in which this happens.
