I've seen them/used them in the rat barricade quest. Are their FOIG quests where PCs get to use them more? Or is that something other players would like to see more?

Yeah... This equipment is valuable and not oft left behind by people whenever possible. Personally I enjoyed the rarity of this equipment because its not an every-day thing. EfU has a very neat script however that DMs can spawn such tools which can actually be picked up into your inventory and installed elsewhere for use.
