However, if you come upon a mostly intact animatron or any interesting animatron parts I would be interested in them as this would aid my research and speed the Guild's ability to provide you with this service.

I can acquire animatron parts for you. Find out what any other Sanctuary organizations offer for them so that I can make competitive offers in the open market. I also can share some knowledge of where you might best find such parts and assist with expeditions to acquire them.

However, for this help up front I would need to secure the future benefits of my personal expense and efforts. We can meet to discuss this in person, or I can suggest a contractual arrangement via our correspondence.

What of a contract for the building of the machine and securing my assistance up front? There must be a meeting of minds for a proper contract to be formed and I have not heard your thoughts in this.

During our journey to the mines you mentioned that you would write up such a contract between us for this endeavor. I have never written such a contract so would not even know where to start.

The Spellguard offers 25 gold for animatron parts, though these are smaller parts, and nothing near a full sized animatron body to work with.

The Machinist Guild, at this moment, has no space to store such parts, though I am busy selling my wares to try and change this situation. Once I have made entry into the animatron forge we discussed I will have a better idea of what sort of space is required.

As I said originally, I look forward to assisting you, but my fledgling organization will require time to be able to meet your needs.

Here is my proposed contract:

Ichabod the Cripple promises to build one working animatron, deliver it to the Stoutheart mines, and give any necessary training to run it properly.

The animatron is to be fit for near persistant mining work. This work consists of successfully mining ore with a pick axe or similarly effective tool, and clearing any rubble and refuse as a result of that mining. The animatron is to be able to be guided by one dwarf, or less. The animatron is warranted to work for one year without defect.

Dakul Ironbeard promises to pay 7000 coins for said animatron.

Dakul Ironbeard promises to purchase animatron parts of necessary use for said animatron from the general public if available at market prices not to exceed 100 coins per part. Parts that exceed any necessary for the animatron are not required to be purchased. Dakul Ironbeard is not required to store such purchased parts.

We can also work out a storage fee for your parts, but I'd rather that be informal. I'd have a key to the temple for you already, but the keys tend to fall apart quickly and become useless. If you want one you'll have to let me know when you want one and make use of it shortly after I acquire it if I can. If I'm available I'll help you with expeditions there.

Your contract sounds acceptable with the following additions. The price of 7000 gold is acceptable as long as this continues to be a fair price once the actual cost of building and animating the animatron is known. If the price exceeds 7000 gold, price upon delivery will be renegotiated and agreed upon by the Stouthearts and the Machinist Guild.

I would also like to discuss, informally, a price to store parts as I carry a few heavy ones with me at this time. I am currently trying to locate a suitably safe location to begin my workshop. Once I have this space I could use your aid in securing an animatron frame to begin my first creation.

I have been within the temple once, and we will need a formidable party to enter into the forge to hopefully gain the last information I will require to complete my first work. I will discuss such an expedition with you soon.
