potion brewing? way to riches? or path to poor house?

experimenting with the brew potion feat i discovered that some second lvl potions are 120 gp +bottle and some are 60+bottle but all second lvl poitions at he market are 228 so some are not cost effetive why is this ?

Mostly just balance adjustments.

what does that mean??? brake it down fer the hillbillies yo!!

It means that some potions (and wands) are powerful enough that a higher brewing/crafting price is warranted, like how a 3rd level potion is more expensive than a 1st level one (because the spell is more powerful).

If there are any spells other than cure minor wounds that can be more cheaply bought from vendors than brewed, please report it.

power as related to price, this i understand. heres a example (2nd lvl) aid =120+9 (2nd lvl) bulls str =60+9 at market both are 228 gp....my point. why brew aid when the brew cost for aid is 50%higher than bull str. but the asking price is the same . this leaves me with no recorse but to not brew aid potions since chars only judge your priceing by what thay can get them for not what the cost is.

I'm sorry, but I do not see how 120+9 makes 228.

No, I get it. It's something we can look at actually.

He's asking why Aid costs more to brew than Bulls, when they are both level 2 spells. I don't have the answer to that question, but we'll discuss it and post the answer here.
