Inquiry:
[For general overview, all Councillors]
11th day of Nightal in the year 150
Agent Delgado
Greetings esteemed Councillors.
I wish to inquire into some matters brought up in the regular correspondence I have with Councillor Reynolt. He has notified me of the decision the Council came to recently to exclude the Spellguard from information concerning the knucklebones so greatly sought after in these trying times. I cannot but agree with Councillor Reynolt and hope that haste finds the Council and the matter be concluded hastily, and the Spellguard, whom are most capable of reviewing matters concerning dangerous magical items such as this, be offered any and all information concerning these dangerous items. It is exceedingly difficult for the Spellguard to operate as supposed when kept out of the so-called loop such as is evident. We are short on time, the drow have already threatened to murder ten of our friends should the matter not be resolved, and I for one could not bear to live with their death on my shoulders knowing I could have done more to assist if only I had all the information Sanctuary held on the matter.
The Spellguard hold a single, fake, version of these knucklebones which could offer us much information if we were capable of examining it in conjunction with the authentic ones. That said, I hope that in the future the Spellguard will not be required to petition to the Council in order to receive information on such matters so that we can fulfill our duties. Reynolt has made it clear in our regular, friendly, correspondence and discussions that he holds information concerning this matter but is hampered by this recent decision of the Council in offering them to us so that we may assist further in the matter.
With high hopes for good news and promt replies,

Agent Delgado,
One would expect with the large amount of funding we spare the Spellguard that they would be capable of acquiring the bones themselves, let alone being able to acquire information on them without having to go to the Council to be informed and "Caught up".
Perhaps if your Agents spent less time inciting violence inside Lower through the hiring of Rival Mercenaries Companies this wouldn't be an issue.
The most troubling perhaps, is that it took the Spellguard an entirety of two weeks to determine the bone they carried was nothing but a mundane finger bone, nothing remotely magical about it.
If you wish my advice, make use of the spies Agent Hectra is so fond of employing upon other citizens and have them seek out the location of the Fingerbones on behalf of the Council and Sanctuary.
Sincerely,
Councilor Reynolt

Councillor Reynolt, as the Spellguard has informed you numerous times before, the knucklebone in our posession appears to be completely non-magical and that conclusion was reached after a couple of hours of study. We have told you all this time that we require an "authentic" knucklebone in order to compare it to the one we currently hold which will allow us to properly conclude our research on that item. Then we can begin to examine the other knucklebones, when we receive them, and determine the entire threat that they pose. Your indication that we have not been fulfilling our duties completely is completely unneeded since you know that you have indeed kept us from gaining such information, I would point you to atleast one incident at the House of Light, whom you seem to have trusted to hold a number of these items, where you explicitly refused to offer any information concerning these knucklebones to a Spellguard Agent but rather allowed your friends at the House of Light to gain the information instead. I find it odd that friendship and not assigned duty should be the factors you favor when deciding whom should be offered information concerning the safety of Sanctuary.I am still awaiting replies from all other Councillors, I hope you can find time from your busy schedules to answer my queries as soon as possible.
With regards,

Agent Delgado,
Let it be known that the council did not decide to exclude the Spellguards of any investigation, especially one as dire as this. Therefore many of us find in your words terrifying news.
What ever gave you the impression it was the Council’s decision, I do not know. But indeed is troubling and requires an explanation.
But, as we all know, this is not the time for petty incidents such as this.
We, councilors, know far too well, that the Spellguards are responsible and capable enough to handle any investigation or research reguarding the arcane, especially one likes this. Otherwise your organization would no longer exist.
If there is any side hiding information so direly needed to the safety of our town, it will be found and punished accordantly
For now on, you and any other agent involved in this case will report directly to council, in order to avoiding sad situations like this.
Address us a full report of your actions regarding this case, and we’ll make our very best to solve this situation as quick as we can.
*Signed*
Councilor Lancaster.

Dear councilor Lancaster,
in regards to your question on how I came to believe that the Spellguard were not to be included in any information concerning these knucklebones I offer you copies of recent correspondence with Councillor Reynolt.*tagged to the letter are a few letters*
https://efupw.com/efu1-forum/topic/30/3049/sealed-letter-to-councillor-reynolt-town-hall/index.html
I especially point your attention to the last letter from Reynolt, it would most likely answer your question.
If this is all one big misunderstanding then I would rather much like to receive a report from the Council, especially Councillor Reynolt, concerning what information has been gathered on these knucklebones so that the Spellguard may review them and compare them to our own research and gathered information.
The Council shall ofcourse be notified of the matter by the Spellguard as it has in the past.
If you wish for us to write up all our findings in an official report now I suppose we could take precious time from our investigation to do so but it would most likely be best to do so after the matter has been resolved and our minds can be put at ease after this great threat.
With regards,

[sent to Delgado exclusively]
Agent Delgado,
I had offered a book of information on this topic to Agent Archibald about a week ago. I was hoping to have it returned, but if you see him, please inquire about this book as I believe it will fully inform you about these knucklebones, or their history and possible uses at least.
I also point out that it would be very courteous of you to read it quickly and take some notes, and then pass it on to either myself, Agent Archibald, or a Private Marshall who expressed interest in the situation and the literature.
My apologies about this misunderstanding. Councilor Reynolt and I are long overdo for a chat, and I ask him what exactly he was thinking in causing this very agitating situation. At least we can find some humor in the fact that he was the one proposing unity.
For Sanctuary,
Councilor Ward
