When dividing the loot after a quest yesterday, I (noob that I am) put 125 gold on a chair. The chair promptly ate it. While I accept the loss of the gold as a punishment for my noobish ways, can someone advertise more prominently somewhere that you shouldn't put the gold on the floor in case the furniture runs off with it. Just a little thing that it would have been useful to know...
Gold-eating chairs
As strange as this sounded I went on and tested it with few gold pieces. It actually happens. The gold does "vanish", I think it is a bug with the engine however, I presume this can be done at any NWN module.
Probably a DM disguised as a chair, next tme you do it you should wait for a thank you.
Don't put objects on placeables unless you -know- they are save. Generally, the ones you can place that are freefloating are ok (like placeable tables), but the features that are intrinsic to a certain tiles are not (like bar stands).
I'd meant to put it on the floor next to the chair but I missclicked. I hadn't thought anything of it until I went to look for it!
Was certainly news to me that selectable placeables eat the stuff put on them. I wonder do they handle it as putting stuff in container, even if storage feature is not enabled.
