I am sorry that I did not receive your earlier letter.

To date, I am not aware of any of my kinsman that have fallen prey to the horrible fate that must have befallen those whose hides were used to make belts and boots of fell design.

However, there are over one hundred of my kinsmen in Old Sanctuary and Lower, and it is very possible that they are being abducted over time. Singly, and in such a way that none notice.

Another possibility is that these items have come from much farther away, and have arrived here due to trade with the Duergar. I would suggest if no disappearance of Stouts are reported, that Fort Mur might be the source of these wretched things.
