For Ivandur Reynolt

Councilman Ivandur Reynolt,

I understand you are unhappy with what was wrote in the Sanctuary Times. Naturally, I would be too if anyone made such thoughts about myself. Though, I hope you will understand things from my point of view that in reports that I make, I want to minimize bias. You have to admit, the Interview was a success. But as well as all the people who love you, there are those who hate you and it would be unjust to focus on the ones who just love you.

The article was not due to my personal grudge against you, I was not paid by a third party to write the article, I'm just trying to show all sides of the picture.

Nevertheless, the Times is currently writing it's second volume, the story by me will be a follow-up. I'd like another interview with you to clear up these issues, and hopefully in the end we'll all be happy men.

If you're still willing to speak to me, I'd be glad to see to this interview. I'll also be looking to interview fellow councilmen, the Watch, Spellguard and Tigereye.

Yours truly, -Jacob Geigne The Sanctuary Times

Jacob,

I do not see how you can say, let alone imply, in good conscience that the slander, half truth and lies you posted in your article was for the sake of surveying "Both spectrums" of view concerning myself.

Any man or even any simpleton for this manner, would be able to discern your article clearly favored a tilt who's purpose was to slander me and cast me in a poor light. If you truly sought to give a fair and balanced story, you would have pursued each piece of information given to you by an "Anonymous Source" and of learned the exact details of each case. If you truly sought to compare my actions side by side, you would have delved into my history and discovered all the selfless services I have spared Sanctuary and it's people. Being a reporter involves being an investigator, and I find it in extreme poor tastes that you take whatever is said to you at more than face value and go as far to post it in your article to manipulate the good citizens of my city.

I'm not angered by what happened, I fully expected something like this to happen. However, I find it very disheartening that you can't even stand by the obvious wrong you have dealt me and instead seek to deny it.

Jacob, the Interview was a success because it was God's Truth. Your slander is not because it came from snakes who hide in the mud and only spread unrest and disorder wherever they slither.

If you wish to clear your image in the eyes of the citizens in this city who will -not- be fooled by this propaganda, I suggest you issue a public apology for failing as your duties as a reporter, and then make a strong effort to publish the truth from -both- sides. Only after this has been done will I consider a second interview and possibly risk another forum for you to slander my honorable reputation without fact to back it up.

I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,

Ivandur Reynolt

Ivandur,

I'll say straight up I'm not issuing a public apology. The public response has been extremely positive. I've been told I'm making a "bold step forwards". You and the Watch are the only people who have given me a negative response.

I want an interview with you not to slander you, but to honestly look into this. I want your say in what the article had to say. If you wish not to have this interview, I'll have to go on other sources. That gives you less control over what the article says. Do you want that?

Nevertheless, the report was not due to a personal grudge against yourself. If you decide to have a personal grudge with me, I will survive but we are men, we are both beyond that.

I needed the paper published. I pursued my source. Even you admitted that the document I was given was correct. The insight to the documents is what was submitted, what I thought was interesting. The Times is about accepting content from the people that the people want to read. I did that. As I said before, the response is very positive from people other then yourself. My personal image remains untainted. The Times will continue. Will we continue to put content out that you disagree with? If the people continue to ask for it, then yes.

Nevertheless, I'll be making a follow-up story. It may be in your favor, or perhaps I'll uncover something that will make you hate my paper to no end. I would highly recommend this interview. It would be less work on me, and the people can hear from you directly on the matter.

In any case, the Watch has threatened to arrest me. Sanctuary is about Freedom. The Freedom of Speech should be respected. We are beyond that.

Your choice, -Jacob Geigne The Sanctuary Times

Jacob Geigne,

It's obvious you intend to continue with your efforts of publishing half-truths, heresay and lies. Furthermore, I've little desire to deal with a man who's the sort to "Deliver what's wanted" before the truth.

I'm quite sure a good deal of the criminal element is singing high praise to your name, and I'm sure a few Spellguard Agents are encouraging you like a pawn in their own efforts against me.

I never admitted the document was fact, I've no idea what you're referring to. I only said the -interview- was as true as it could be, everything else was deceitful propaganda.

No, I refuse to offer myself up to further slander at the hands of that which you mock with your slander, "Freedom of Speech". If that is all you've to defend yourself with when you issue forth your lies and propaganda then I think you are in a very poor position to think your words have any hold over me. I do not care if you seek to slander me further if I refuse to partake in your mockery of just media.

If the most I have to fear is snakes armed with quils, then do your worst.

I've faith the honest men and women of this city can see through your lies, and I will ensure that it's all clear in time.

Sincerely,

Ivandur Reynolt

Ivandur,

I will accept your rejection and leave it at that. Hopefully you will see the Times is worth something beyond what you claim is my lying self. I have a co-manager coming up and reporters. I hope you will at least cooperate with them on their stories. I will have nothing to do with what they have to write, I will just get what they said published. But for this reporter, he will no longer be at your doorstep.

Sincerely, -Jacob Geigne The Sanctuary Times
