Attention Citizens:

This is Councilor Merrickson. It came to my attention two evenings past that Duergar were still allowed the privilege of citizenship status in our fair city. As many of you no doubt did, I found this entirely unacceptable.

As such, the Council has come to the decision, with a majority vote, that Duergar are now a race which shall sit upon the list of "Enemies of Sanctuary", along with Drow, Goblins, and Kobolds.

They have repeatedly shown they are untrustworthy, and unwilling to turn from their slaving ways. No citizen need fear the presence of their former slavers again. We shall not abide by slaving races, nor shall we allow them to enjoy citizenship or even presence within our city.
