[Order of the Spellguard, Serena Tower]

Eleint 5th, 152 SR.

For the Order of the Spellguard:

Do you possess any documents hinting at when Melinda Bresley first arrived in Sanctuary?

And if you do not intend to answer the question, do not bother with asking as to my inquiry. When you will not part with information, as has been the case in the past, do not expect to receive much.

    Imrahel Morunov, Last Stand.

[Agent Blake reads the note, and shakes her head again at the tone of the letter. Muttering something about proper attitudes and the fact the man demands without ever giving anything in return, she tosses it onto one of the tables in the common area for one of the other agents to attend to, if they care enough]

Agent Petrov uses a scrap of the letter to wrap his fungus before smoking it. Impressed with the fine flavor he reads what's left of the letter and quickly pens a reply.

This is exquisite paper. Are you constructing a time line of Sanctuary's history? Fascinating. I do believe that Melinda was a founding member of this city. That is to say, she was one of the first escaped slaves to arrive with Charles, her most esteemed husband. That would place her arrival nearly one hundred and fifty four years ago? I'm sure you can figure out the date.

    Agent James Petrov:

Yes-and all known records indicate that you are incorrect in your assumption.
