The EXP penalty on wands and potions

Why is it there?

I mean, I can find no RP reason for a divine brew or crafter to lose connection with his/her god for this.

Or an Arcanist to lose power over the weave In fact, he would be gaining control over it with more experience.

Firstly, balance.

It inhibits the mass spamming and flooding of item creation.

And, secondly, I believe that this also represents the imparting and sacrifice of your own essence. In part, at least. Everything you create contains a fraction of yourself, or so they say. Perhaps that is it!

It also prevents shitty builds from producing wands and potions when they run out of exp and are to high a level to go on anything easy, or cannot leave town from fear of assassination or mugging.

Maybe they shouldn't make enemies then :(

-.-

-.-

I am talking about merchant clerics, how can they -not- make enemies?

Be glad you don't permanently lose Constitution like in AD&D.

Craftsmanship is a quality that some lack, you've got to give people a reason for them to come back.

Yes, and I am now for that pot order of making 10 potions with one spell.

That is all.

Thank you for allowing us but a fraction of your time, Tom_the_Younger

He does remind me of Tom_the_Elder. Like father like son, so they say.

I have no idea what you two above are talking about.
