The ongoing term has been eventful. Despite the very unfortunate death of many councillors, we have made great progress. Rather than make empty promises, I have always been man behind my promises, and as promised I have been part of delivering these during the last months:
The citizen's basic rights have been ensured by ruling friends and foes of the city. This at the same time gives clear legal ground to prosecute any vile betrayers who align themselves with the Drow or Mind Flayers.
The Spellguard are now officially again part of the city. This was only possible due to the continued effort of myself and some of the councillors who are no longer with us, mainly Pepto Fizzwiggle and Valram Nikitovich. I hope history books will judge them fairly.
The New Dunwarren is officially part of the city as well, and in spirit of unification we have forgiven their rebellion.
We have kept our existing alliances and trying to forge new ones, like with the honourable dwarven clan that our scouts have reported about.
In next council season I foresee the following themes to important, although there is certain to be many more:
- Expanding our trade, and seek possibilities of finding more friends and allies at the dark lake and beyond. Also make sure our growing trading guilds are able to operate and draw wealth to our town.
- Explore and refine some of the basic laws, and make sure our society does not fall into corruptions.
- Make sure Spellguard and Watch can work as efficiently as possible. Both watch bravery as Spellguard animatrons are vital to the town's defense.
- To improve relations with the lower Sanctuary. We once stood as one town, together we would be stronger. This can however only be archived by mutual trust and co-operation, Lower should not be forced. Councillor Morgan, Councillor Worn and Lower Councillor Wesh to name a few, did all fight for dialog with the lower their own way. They did make their mistakes, but their work for improving the city should not be forgotten. Separation is not the key, unity is the way forward against our common foes outside the walls.
