Drin, temple of Tyr

Brother of Duty,

Be thankful that you never went near the home of that infernal Illithrid. The things that I saw were unspeakable. Regardless, it appears that Drow favor the place. The Illthrid employs the use of slaves, somehow ridden of their minds. He forced them to fight against adventurers for freedom, which I doubt he ever gave them. Though he did possess some immensly powerful material objects and such. The fact that he was offering them as prizes only shows that he is far more powerful that either of us could imagine. I plead you, do not challange him. Not yet. Not until we can defeat him. I do not believe he owns any Hin slaves; though given the wide variety of things he conjured into the arena before I left, it is not impossible. I am sorry that I must say it, but if he does have one of your cadets, then your companion is lost. No attempt to save any from that Mind Flayer can possibly succeed, and can only result in suffering tenfold of what any could possibly bare to the blade of a sword. Another of our kind, Copper, accomanied me. He seemed to be having a wonderous time. I suggest you watch him warily, should you see him. He's a step away from falling to darkness.

Yondalla perserve us. ~ Perym Wethain.

Perym,

I applaud your courage and information gathering. I agree that any creature with that much power should be avoided in conflict until we can properly find a weakness. If you saw no hin slaves, then I have no reason to further pursue him currently. Though the Drow in audience do have my interest.

Did you see any of them or see if any had their slaves with with them?

As far as your companion, I never see him, though I have heard of him through others. I will leave your trust of him to your judgement.

I am glad you are well, please seek me out as the Watch is looking for you. They wish to inquire about your trip to that location.

Brother of Duty,

The Drow sat above us. I could barely make out their figures in the horrible light, though I assure you it was Drow. I shall admit that I left fairly soon into the competiton, though in the time that I was there I saw none of our people that had been enthralled. It is not impossible, however; I'm certain that he would've only used his most powerful slaves, something our people thankfully aren't thought to be. He may be using them as simple serving beings, or worse; things for the Drow that frequent there to use for their own amusement. The Mind Flayer is a threat, Drin. A powerful one. We must find a means of destroying it, as it clearly knows the location of Sanctuary. Though I assure you; he is beyond both of us, and perhaps every person in Sanctuary combined. True, it may seem bad for business that he enslave a town of possible patrons, though it seems he has a fair few of other cities and such. He would make far more coin out of slave dealership.

I'll not have anyone made a slave again. I've decided that as soon as he opens his portals again, I'll confront him. Even if the only difference it makes is my head imploding.
