Valaron Sunellar for Council!

The following notices are placed throughout Sanctuary:

People of Sanctuary, my name is Valaron Sunellar. I was born in service to Lady Sune Firehair, and my life is forever spent lost in love in the call of her name. Many of you know who I am. Since my arrival in this Sanctuary, I have served in the Watch-until my recent resignation from the rank of Lieutenant. Now, I wish to serve this Sanctuary that has come to be my home in another capacity-that of an elected Councilor.

My actions have ever been controversial, my integrity frequently questioned, and my commitments commonly called into doubt. I state clearly and unequivocally, however, that I never once lied, faltered in, or shirked from my duties in the Watch. My efforts have always been, and will always continue to be, pursued for the true good and service of Sanctuary and the citizens whose care I was entrusted with. I resigned from the Watch because I could not commit to an oath and a duty that was asked of me. My desire to serve the people of Sanctuary, and to continue to work to succor and nurture its government, has not ended-and this is why I ask your support to serve on the Council.

I make it clear, here, now, and for all time, that I will not change from who and what I am to serve on the Council. Lady Firehair will always be the first love of my life, and the guide through which every action I take flows. I will not compromise my beliefs or my allegiances for paltry temporal gains. I will not negotiate or consider trading with slavers, bandits, or criminals. I will not stand for corruption in any orifice of Sanctuary's government-be it the Council, the Watch, or the Spellguard. I will not grow tired of my duties in a few short weeks and disappear from the public eye. I will not abandon efforts to improve Sanctuary and languish in the comfort of my office and position. In short, people of Sanctuary, I will be truthful, I will be transparent, and I will be true to the promises that I make to you now-the service of who and what I am as one of your elected leaders, for the betterment of all of Sanctuary who envision a brighter tomorrow for this refuge amidst embattled night.

You know who and what I am, people of Sanctuary. You may not agree with all of what I am, but you know that I speak the truth. You know that I will not relent or cease in my efforts to uphold the duties and requirements of the station I seek, nor will I ever cease to defend and protect the people of this Sanctuary who have sought refuge from the nightmares that lurk outside our gates-and threaten to encroach within. You know that I will be a fiery, passionate spark forever burning in the night-and I ask for your support, your votes, and your blessings to serve on the Sanctuary Council. Those who wish to see this Sanctuary bettered will find no better candidate than I. Those who do not will find no purchase in Sanctuary.

Together, let us look to the future that awaits our Sanctuary. Together, let us make it beautiful. Together, let no darkness stand against us.
