Citizens of Sanctuary,

My name is Sir Leonard Merrickson. Many of you already know who I am. I would like to announce formally that I intend to run for a seat upon the Council. I will not make you promises of actions to come, though there will be many things that I seek to do to benefit the people.

Instead, I would like you to look upon the things I have already done for this City. I have been here only a few months, however in this time I have aided the Watch tirelessly in their efforts. I have fought in the Formian War, and was an active defender of our gates during Zovaldar's Siege. I aided in slaying Zovaldar within his own crypt.

I have taken over operations within the Mausoleum, to prevent the rabble of Necromancers and ill intentioned charlatans that would have seen your ancestors, and fallen friends ill used, and ill cared for. I have provided aid where it is necessary, and will continue to do so until my work is done.

Sanctuary is falling into a state of apathy, and greed. Allow me to lend my aid, to see this blood loss staunched, to see the wounds healed. Rather than set my plans here to paper, I instead invite each and every citizen with a question about my ideas, my beliefs, and my intentions, to seek me out. To speak with me, face to face. I would look into the eyes of every person I would ask to vote for me, and let them see who they should elect to help them in this time of need.

I will continue to aid Sanctuary in every way I may, as I have these past months. Give me the honor of helping you further, as a Leader of this Town.
