I fired off about 30 +1 arrows at some flying Chosen and never once penetrated their DR.
The silver-tipped arrows seem to work fine.

+1 Arrows are just +1 damage, I believe.
I always thought it to be intentional, though I might be wrong.
Its a Bioware thing and a DnD thing. You need a plus one bow to bypass DR.
It should also be noted that Flying Chosen have 10/+2 DR not +1 and I do believe +1 arrows count, at least the arcane archer varients do.
Oroborous Its a Bioware thing and a DnD thing. You need a plus one bow to bypass DR.Isn't a plus one bow simply a bow with +1 AB? I don't think I've ever seen a bow with an enhancement bonus, just AB and mighty.
There are no bows with enhancement bonus, only attack bonus. And thus, a +1 AB bow would suffice (or +2, in case of flying chosen or whatever damage resistance it was..) +1 arrows only add damage and would not pierce through.
So wait a minute, does this mean those goblin shortbows can penetrate DR?

Yes, +1 AB will break #/+1 DR. It works the same as enchantment vs DR, but it does not give the bonus damage enchantment would give.
Marvelous. I only wish I had known about that before now.
Not a bug.
