I was told this feature was disabled because people were abusing it, (adding robes etc to disguise their character too quickly)
One thing I cant do is CRAFT the foot bits when i'm wearing my monk robe.. on other servers i'd remove the robe.. change the foot parts then add the robe again.
I think the best way to stop people abusing it, is to have a monetary cost for them to add a robe, or alternatively somehow make it so they can only add a robe to an item ONCE a server reset.
This wil give the functionality back to those who will use it properly but stop the people who have been abusing it from doing so.
A costly limited charge SEWING kit is another idea to limit the use of on again/off again robes.

There is no way to use this properly. We don't want fullplate looking like a dress.

Maybe make a shoeless monk orbe and sell it in one of the stores?

I do understand the "dress" looking full plate, if you really were wearing a robe over a full plate it would look pretty obvious you were wearing full plate under it, it would be very bulky, especially in the shoulder region.
The other way is to open make ADD/REMOVE robe available to those that are wearing armor UNDER a certain armour class.
Probably Breastplate is about as far as you could go (ac 5), anything beyond that would simply be too bulky.
Theres even some reason to think that a chain shirt would be the absolutely maximum of UNDER armor you could wear feasibily under a robe /dress or such.
Is there a way instead to add LEFT & RIGHT foot to the possible modifiable parts for robes etc? That would solve the minor problem of my red wizard of oz boots ;)
