My name is Sebastion Mennall, and I currently serve as the Chamberlain for the Fireheart Family. I am responding to your call for an assistant. My primary focus would be to the family, however, I seek to fill my personal time with something more then merely watching a flame flicker in the Lasts Stands hearth. Despite the variety found in the daily embers, it never does manage to keep my attention. Instead I find my eyes drawn to things such as your notice, which I have seen countless times now, and I have been intrigued long enough.
I am a patient man, having grown up surrounded by the monks of the old abbey. In these brick walls I learned my trade as a scribe, scholar, and artist. I have spent many late hours reading tomes in the candle light. Admittedly, I have been away from this line of work for some time. I have a few months training in a militia, but I doubt that applies much to your request for skill. To conserve ink I'll address your concerns directly.
I am competent and I would find life intolerable without people to interact with. I have spent many hours learning the art of calligraphy, I believe this letter serves as an apt example of my hand's legibility. This project is your own, I cannot honestly say that I can aid your mysterious project without at least some communication with yourself. However, the act of writing is oft times a solitary one, and I would find it disheartening to find someone that requires constant dictation to produce results. I assure you I can act on my own accord towards a given goal.
I am not going to smear your name with pointless acts of rebellion or criminal activities. The established leadership will stand for as long as the city requires them to do so. I have not requested the recommendation of any organization, though I will if truly necessary. I believe I have answered all of your questions completely and will await your reply.
