Moments ago at approximately 8:25pm(GMT) the was sending a tell to another player.
When the other player responded, I received a response from the player I had sent the tell to, as well as a tell from another player name of the same tells.
I informed the individual who I was in the conversation with (IAmABigTeddyBear), and continued to receive tells from (AstralPhoenix), who stated that she/he/it was not sending me tells.
So the tells being sent by (TeddyBear, guy) were coming to me in the appearance of both his username, as well as that of (AstralPhoenix).
A very odd occurrence, so I felt it necessary to report the issue.

I think only BioWare can fix this, but I doubt Atari will give them the time to do it.
Someone chime in if I am (provably) wrong, and explain how we can fix this rare but real and occasional problem.

This happens from time to time, I think. I remember getting tells from people that haven't sent them to me, or sending tells to multiple recievers and so on.
I've also had my character say something IC that I hadn't written myself. It seemed to be a comment ripped out of a private conversation other characters might've had at the time, as it didn't seem like OOC rubbish. At least that's how it seemed back then, I can't remember fully. Think it's happened one or two times.

This has happened to me here, and on numerous other servers. I don't think there's much the EfU DM/Scripting Team can do about it. It is sometimes caused by server-side lag, or so I've observed.

The general consensus seems to agree that it is a glitch which can not be fixed by ourselves.
Lock the topic if you wish, DMs, I believe the issue is now explained and an explanation given.

I've noticed sending tells to the wrong person also. Wierd. Only thing I notice is that if the person has quotes in their name like Tommy 'the gun' Thompson, it has problems with the quotes since it uses " " marks in the /t command for the player name.
Also I've noticed it does weird stuff if you've cued up a tell to someone and that person switches characters before you can hit the enter key to send the tell. It then gets sent off to someone else and the confusion begins.
These tell bugs are rare, but engine related not anything related to the way EfU is setup.
