Ok, so we bought this really nice (we thought) HP computer with wireless mouse, keyboard, TV, DVR, and Cure for Cancer all built in, right? Now here's the problem:
Every so often in the past 3 months, the keyboard lags on keeping up with keystrokes. Now, I'm no Mavis Beacon, but I'd like it if the keyboard could keep up (it doesn't quite freeze, but it might catch every 3rd stroke or so). This is most noticeable in NWN and prevents me from typing in speech as well as moving, fighting efficiently, and so forth.
At first I thought it was the battery, but replacing it does nothing. Pushing the "connect" button on the bottom of the keyboard MIGHT fix it for a while, but not for long. The mouse has never had a problem and I never actually move the keyboard away from its position next to the mouse, about 3 feet away from the computer. Ideas (other than the obvious ditch the wireless keyboard)?

Try this:
Have someone type on the keyboard, and while they're doing that, tune an AM radio until you can find the frequency your keyboard uses. Then, while the radio is tuned to the keyboard, wave it around the room and see if there are any other appliances in your house that are sending out noise on the same frequency.
I used to have horrible problems with my DSL until I discovered that the capacitors on my electric stove were sending out EM pulses that would knock me offline every 90 seconds or so whenever anyone was cooking.
You would be amazed at how much radiation certain appliances throw off. The worst culprits are dimmer switches (both for lights and ceiling fans), fluorescent lamps, irons, electric waffle griddles, and extremely old televisions.

I can't correct your title without seeming a geek, so I'll just wish you good luck.
