[A letter to the Sanctuary Library]

Talk has not gone unheard about the dire disease that brews on the horizon, this Slaad fever is of interest to me, though I know little of it besides the common talk. I write to you in hope that you are gifted with knowledge more so than I about the disease.

I shall make an effort to come by.

Pastoral Shaunta.

A letter addressed to 'Pastoral Shaunta' is left with the Scribe inside the Library.

Pastoral Shaunta,

This is the first I have heard of the recent rise of Slaad Fever. There was a member of the Cave Wyrm tribe (the legendary Gudmundur Gunnar - now deceased) who was rumoured to have contracted Slaad Fever while on an expedition out in the wilds. I believe Gunnar was also cured of the disease. How this was performed, I do not know.

Most of those souls who travelled with Gudmundur Gunnar on that fateful expedition are likely dead. I will ask around though - I am sure someone around town will remember the Slaad Fever.

Kepler Szul,

Your laborious efforts are very much appreciated, but it does little to sooth my nerves. You and I should speak in person I think, for I am always more comfortable with voice than ink.
