The doors were locked in the first hallway, and I may have certainly missed something but we didn't find a key.

We went out to get someone that could open doors and without touching the quest giver icon it updated us to "Quest Completed-Abandoned"

Yea, the quest is if you get out you finish it, Also there is no key, you can bash/pick the doors.

Hmm we tried bashing but nothing. ... Next time bring a locksmith, who is not too high a level and leaves when we arrive, and hit the doors harder.
