Sheriff Azzam, my name is Jerald Whitemane the IV, Swordarm and Servant of almighty Torm.

Recently I have arrived within the city of Sanctuary, and only a week after my arrival, I met a bright lad within the service of ye Watch House. A Lieutenant Sunellar, after sometime speaking with this lad, I came to value the dedication and courage of the lad, and in turn the Lieutenant offered me placement amongst your ranks.

This is my letter of intent, my request to join the ranks of the Sanctuary Watch. I am a capable warrior, with three decades of soldiery beneath my belt, and that is all I shall say because otherwise it will sound self-soothing, and I am not an old man prone to such. I am a realist. I know strategy, and I know that a man should never truly think too highly of himself.

I seek to protect the citizens of Sanctuary, and see the defense of the city flourish. Should you have me, I shall be there.

No need to send a letter in return, merely leave it within the Watch House, I assure you, I will eagerly check each day for a response.
