Keyboard problems

How do I solve the issue where pressing <-- Back Space on my keyboard skips me back to the previous page I was on?

this isn't an issue. it's a feature of all modern browsers as well as windows explorer.

I'm pretty sure this is hardcoded to the application and can't be changed. Though you can remap the backspace key to something else, though that would change the function of that key for everything from operating system to applications.

Just hitting <--- Backspace doesn't do that with my Firefox.

I wish I could be of more help, Obedience.

Download firefox or safari. Both free, and both allow you to press backspace to your hearts content. But, If you really hate it but love IE, you could set the "delete" key to Backspace. Then there would be very little interferences software wise, although it makes it impossible to touch type.

Pup Just hitting <--- Backspace doesn't do that with my Firefox......

....uh...yes it does. I use firefox (v.2) and the backspace does too act as the 'back' toolbar button.

This feature also exists in IE, Netscape and Opera (i believe).

I have used the system I'm currently running since forever, and it only became an issue recently. At times it seems fixed - at other times it even goes back a page when I press 'o' or something on my keyboard. Is it nothing which can be manually changed by simply pressing a CTRL-''X'' combination?

Surely if he says it doesn't, it doesn't. I doubt he'd lie...

Yeah, that's what I'm dealing with. It's a feature which I should be able to activate by pressing a combination of keys. Any idea which? :>
