My warrior PCs sometimes try to protect weaker PCs in the group, but the thing is you just can't stop something from hitting other people. The only thing one can do is attack the attacker.
So i was thinking of a "protection mode", where when activated, the protector gets (part of) the damage recieved by the PC he protects, as if he gets in the way of the blows.
Any comments on that?

You can invest in Taunt to attract attackers, which has the added benefit of making them weaker (lower AC) too! (And depending on the voiceset, spams, "Come here! Fight ME!")
Working on party formations (having a tank take point, making sure wizards are in the back but can't be flanked, etc.) can all help protect weaker party members without additional scripting.

Taunt doesn't attract attackers in efu, does it?

By attract I mean "shift focus" - and it's not like that's something we can change! It should be the same in all NWN modules.
EDIT: Looks like it'll only shift an attacker's attention if you count as a bigger threat, just like with multiple attackers.
