Dear Agnes,

I remember you beginning to tell me your life-story when we met at the stairs in Lower Sanctuary.

I would encourage you to write a book for the Sanctuary Library, and talk of your mother and father, and your experiences growing up as the child of an ex-slave in Sanctuary.

There are many people in Sanctuary who were born here and do not know 'Surface'; some people do not believe it exists, that the idea 'the Way' is a trap. The Library has no book as yet that speaks of a life born in Sanctuary. I urge you to write one.

I look forward to reading what you come up with. Of course, I can assist you with editing the book, if that is what you wish.
