[A finely penned Missive to Sheriff Azzam] (DM)

Scribbled in an impeccable hand, smelling faintly of exotic surface flowers, and strangely enough pixie dust

Most Honorable Sheriff Azzam,

Greetings and salutations. After speaking at length with Private Brinson, a slight interview, and a brief combative test, I was told that I should pen you a letter of intent.

Having been seemingly spurned by the Spellguard, who I sought to aid given my military and tactical past, Private Brinson suggested I give a shot at the workings of the Watch, as it would serve the greater good far more than working for their Magocracy, given our lengthy previous discussion on tactical defenses of the city.

I will say here and now, Before any god you wish me to swear an oath to, I have sincere interest in joining your forces of the Watch, upon the Wizardry division, To assist in both investigative and protective aspects of your organization and am not, in any way, shape, or form, A slaver, Affiliated with slavers, or ever spared a slaver's life from the flames of Kossuth had I the opprotunity.

Upon arriving to this city, I've been met with nothing but mild to overt hostility from the citizens, despite countlessly informing them I have no business with slavers, but given my heritage and their lack of surface knowledge, it is all but assumed.

Yes, I did serve as a Red Wizard of the Thayvian Magocracy.

Yes, I did work -with- slaves. Our forces were supplicated by captured foes we bested, but as a man of discipline and honor, I used them as I was directed by my superiors.

Never in my life have I owned a man or woman, of any race or creed, and given my tactical and military experience, I believe I would be able to supplement your Watch's Wizardry division as I had my former superiors.

Private Jaden Sarkish should be able to verify the fact that I reported an impending Garagosian Raid upon the tempurans, through my apprentice, To him, well ahead of the bombing and subsequent fighting which resulted in numerous watchmen dead. Serving the citizens of upper, and putting my military skills to use, is all I wish to do.

On top of such, I've Arcane wand crafting capabilities, and would be willing to offer my services to any watchman at a price greatly under what is offered to the public.

Private Brinson was Optimistic that you would be able to look past the heritage, and judge me on actions, not simply the fact I've pride in the heritage where I was raised, learned of the weave, and served for so many years.

I've not practiced any of the Thayvian cultural aspects that go against any of your local laws, nor have I ever been arrested. I simply keep my title and colors adorned to show where I am from. It is simply an issue of pride.

And to join the watch, and serve once more in a military environment, the only real place I feel capable after almost a life time of it, I would be willing to forsake both.

-Azal Vrask.
