This letter is written in a neat and careful hand. It is posted directly beside the open message to an Ilmater Warrior posted in City Hall.
Faithful of Loviator,
I have not forgotten your name nor will I, but I wished that I had not need to learn it.
I did not ask you to leave and to stay away to protect the undead or what raised them; I asked you to leave and to stay away so that I might lay them to rest as Ilmater would wish without the taint of you or your goddess. I feared that, at your touch, they would have merely risen again, spurred by the pain and suffering that your goddess revels in.
The only reason I paused in battle was to collect myself and to ask for Ilmater's forgiveness for having tolerated your mere presence.
Invoking Ilmater's name is my responsibility. I do not battle against anyone without his consent or his permission. For me to call upon him is not an act of "showing off", but of duty and due course.
"Help all who hurt, no matter who they are" is still and always will be the way of Ilmater. You, however, were not hurt--though I believe you would embrace and revel in it if you were. It was the undead who suffered and it was them that I laid to rest so that they could not harm anyone else. Had you fallen in battle, and I must confess that I was surprised you did not, I would have aided and tended to you. Ilmater would not wish suffering even upon you.
Let it be known that Ilmater's way is to work against suffering and harm; to comfort the good people of Sanctuary. And that this is an honest and good endeavor for all time.
Be wary of the faithful of Loviator good folk of Sanctuary, he presumes too much--doubtless so that we would all suffer for his goddess' pleasure.
