Animate Undead

As a Pale Master, I still get a lousy 6 hp zombie. Are the new changes really in?

I have No Idea what I'm talking about, but did you select which something you summon out of the crafting menu? I know it should default to one, but you- having pre-existed might not have a token, or had the variable set correctly yet. *shrugs* Just a thought.

Just tested this, and my level 10 palemaster summoned a 59 hp zombie, a naked dwarf with 1 hit point, and a weak ghost. The results were the same with all set summons from the crafting menu as well. Hm.

I modified Summon Undead, not Animate Dead, since Animate uses the exact same script as the spell, and I don't want to ruin things for the casters yet.

By default it uses the Stitched Horror, as in if you're not initialized, that's what you summon.

I need to check the blueprint for the mummy selection; the ghost is incorporeal (can't be damaged by non-magical weapons) and does stat damage, and Howl is going to be tweaking them all I think.

I must be missing something though, how do you get initialized? I do not see an option in my crafting menu?

Is this why I get a 6 HP zombie still?

I'm guessing you don't have Summon Undead yet, just Animate Dead, which is the same as the spell (and not very good).

Ah, well, my whole suggestion was to improve the undead that Pale Masters get as an ability!

I'll make the suggestion again. Since my bard can never Summon Undead.

You just need four pale master levels to get this feat. In the meantime, there are other palemaster bonuses and the undead grafts. In the meantime, I suppose we can make the default zombie better - particularly given that I'm not sure the pale master version works on corpses that you buy, and no one can yet properly animate PC corpses unfortunately.

Edit: To clarify, pale masters get three undead-summoning feats by default. The first is animate dead, which is just the default animate dead that clerics/arcanists can cast. The second is Summon Undead, which is pale-master specific and is the one that we made special. The third remains unchanged, and is basically unacheivable in the EfU level range.
