Quest giver dialog.

Problem - some quest givers are a fraction tight lipped if you dont have enough people when you speak to them. This is a problem if they reveal no details about thier quest. It punishes noobs, since everyone else just metagames knowledge of the quests content.

This applys to quite a few quest givers, but perhaps the most diffucult is Jilaco Ironreed from An Old Dwarf's Adventure. If you don't have enough people for his quest, all he says is 'Shooing you off he says, "I would give you my greetings, if I wasn't in the middle of a converstaton"'.

That doesnt even tell you he is looking for a group. It favours people who already have freinds and groups, not those looking to find them.

There are a few others around who are similar. I would at least like to know IC that the NPC wants a bunch of adventurers. I would ideally like enough information to do a sending. So in the example above I would just like to know that the dwarf wants some items recovered, but he thinks I need a mob to do it.

The only way I found the quest for the belly of the machine or whatever... the hold that is underneath there full of little svirfneblin constructs, is by examining the quest-giver by chance. Since then I've started examining NPCs as well as PCs.
