How to get into a Prelude,
but more importantly, how in the heck do you get into this PW?
Have a tiny bit of Everquest experience, but no NWN yet. Would like to join this world if possible.

Help!
Roleplay, find people to do things with, give your character personality: those are some basics to start out.
Click join multiplayer in the nwn main screen.
Create a gamespy account
Log in
Click Direct connect
A window should appear with two fields if it does'nt click direct connect again.
In the top field type efu.to.us
Leave the password field blank.
Oh and click join (<--Edit: added this part)
Now create your character
Remember your character is saved server-side so you won't have access to it offline unless you expeort it the same with offline characters won't be available online.
Thanks! :D
1) Copy your NWN desktop short cut. 2) Rename as you please. 3) Right click on this shortcut. 4) Select "properties". 5) Delete what's in the Target text box. 6) Put the following line in the Target text box:
C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect efu.us.to +password escape
7) Change C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\ in the above line to whatever is appropriate for your computer.
MOST IMPORTANT
Take full ranks in heal and buy lots of healing herbs
Don't piss into the wind..
Hehe, no seriously, welcome to EfU and may your nights be many and prosperous. :D

You Know, there is a pretty good group of Dwarves on this Server at the moment with a goal something like that. Maybe you could look them up in game.
This website is fairly background info intensive but if you need more help with such, give me a buzz and I will lend you some of my not too inconsiderable knowledge. Most of what you could be looking for though is on the website or in the forum threads.

Quite a few players put a lot of though into the backgrounds of their characters to be able to push the rp a bit farther, and certainly outlining a few core character goals and a good personality well help the rp experience along.
Other than that I would suggest reading through what you can to get some good background information (ie realms lore). Other than that, have fun, and please don't get too discouraged if things seem a little slower perhaps here than on Everquest where if you send out a shout you get insta-party for just about any quest. This is most certainly a role play heavy server, and right now has a wonderful player base to interact with. Stick with it for a bit, and I think you'll enjoy it. Above all, don't hesistate to send one of the more established players a tell for help if you need it. The majority of us don't mind at all showing people the ropes.
