Expertise

I'm thinking of a totally non-combative character, something I've never done before. So...

Mechanically, would I want to do this with expertise or parry levels?

Does expertise work against all attacks in the round or just the current target (sort of like dodge)?

Don't do it.

...at least, I wouldn't. Also, Expertise/parry are not modified on EfU, so their behavior descriptions in NWN are accurate.

I don't understand. Both Parry and Expertise are combative feats. However, I would go with expertise as it's amazing against multiple opponents. Parry only shines against single opponents.

To clarify, I was looking for someone who was extremely defensive, so the expertise seems to be the way to go if it does work against multiple opponents. The plan is to play the occasional hit I might get as being a random accident (while swinging his staff in a defensive manner, the opponent is accidentally struck and the character is REALLY sorry for it).

I know it's probably suicidal, I'm just looking for a serious challenge. How long can I survive by selling my healing/lore/other abilities without actively killing things - I'm thinking of lots of tanglefoot bags, tangle traps, sleep spells, and so forth.

Thanks for the input!
