Hail Councillor Nikitovich,
In the absence of Curator Absolom, I am at a loss as to what to do with this particular enquiry sent to the library. Though it is not pressing, it is a most poignant reminder of the effects our citizens actions can have on the outer towns and environments. It reminds me why this place is called 'Sanctuary'.
Can you assist with this, sir?
A letter is attached:
A plainly written letter is delivered to the Sanctuary libraryA note is attached to Briar's letter: I met and spoke with Marten Briars at length. He has been a resident of Sanctuary since before I arrived. He is quite friendly with the scholar and explor, Lady-Elf, Ariwyn Yevastel (the person who first gathered coin and word-of-mouth support for a Sanctuary Library, before anyone would pursue such a task - a dream that she felt the previous Council had actively denied her).To the staff of the Sanctuary library, I have in my possession a document of some import to the history of the town. Seems to me that it'd be of more use in the library than in my pack. I've some terms before I donate it to your honourable selves, or more truthfully to the library itself, however. When one of your number has the time to him to discuss my terms, I can be found at the Last Stand inn.
-Marten Briars
Marten showed me an original document that come from Traensyr itself, which is a historical proclamation declaring that Traensyr was at war with Sanctuary, due to the attacks by sevearl Sanctuarians inside Traensyr.
We discussed the possibility that such a rare and important document could be placed on display on the walls of the Sanctuary Library to serve as a reminder for posterity.
Marten is willing to donate this Traensyrian document under the condition that it be displayed. I do believe this can be achieved quite easily. The document is brief and to the point, and ornate enough to pique the interest of historians and war strategists who visit the library.
Mystra's blessings,
