Monarchist's League of Sanctuary

Those of us in Sanctuary have taken refuge in our home beneath the surface. Buildings have been raised, friendships forged, loves found and lost, and a new culture founded. Sanctuary is a land of it's own, full of a people who have claim to a unique culture. This is good, for one should love the land he calls home, unwaveringly.

However, there is a major flaw within the newfound culture of Sanctuary. It has struggled it's entirety, for it was founded on Blasphemy. The Divine Right has set forth the tenets for proper kingdom. She has given us the edicts by which to form our governments. To introduce democracy into your land is to turn your back upon Siamorphes natural decrees, and to open your home to chaos, power struggles, and a government which cannot stand firm.

Truly, the Council does not work properly. Anyone who has watched the system of Sanctuary in action can attest to this. But, for this, we cannot fully blame the Council. They have tried as best they could, but the fact is Citizens, that they were doomed to failure, by virtue of the unholy nature of such a system. Sanctuary must bear the responsibility for it's choices. It has promoted a system which does not work, which cannot work, for it goes against the very orders of the Gods.

The League for Monarchic Rule Within Sanctuary seeks to amend the grievous harm done to the souls of our citizens through this blasphemy. Look at the malaise that permeates the souls and minds of the people of Sanctuary. Look at the woe they feel. This, truly, is the result of seperation from the proper path of the Gods. We must repent these sins, and return to the True Ways.

So long as Sanctuary turns it's back on the proper ways of benevolent, monarchical rule, it cannot prosper as the Gods wish it to. We cannot continue to rely on failed democracy to guide us. We must submit to the ways that the Gods have set before us, and we must establish a proper ruler for our City. We have lost our Mayor, the closest thing this City has had to a proper Monarch. We have strayed from the path, by refusing to appoint a new one. We must rectify our mistakes. We must take it a step further.

We must find the path of righteousness again, Citizens. We must recognize Siamorphes orders for Man. A strong, altruistic, benevolent Nobility is the best way for a society to function. Nobanion has given his strength to Royalty, for years. He will not let us down, friends. Give your faith to these gods of Good, who promise us a prosperous future, if we will only help ourselves.

All who would see a righteous monarchy founded, to preserve our fair settlement. All who would work towards a peaceful, proper redressing of this government, are welcome within our organization. Find us, speak with us. See for yourselves the purity of our wishes, and the righteousness of true Monarchy.

By the grace of Siamorphe, and the blessing of Nobanion, may we be saved from this path we have set ourselves upon.

As someone has chosen to repost my words, at such an interesting moment, let me speak upon them:

I am not a flawless man, and I admit it openly. I speak in haste, sometimes, and in this case, I spoke ill. I have been shown by the people of Sanctuary that the Council -can- be a force for good, if used properly. Do I still think Monarchy is preferable? Yes, I state that clearly. However, I do not believe it would work in Sanctuary. In truth, the Monarchist's League was never about crowning a King for Sanctuary, but rather it was about allowing the teachings of the Divine Right to permeate through the government Sanctuary has given itself. It was about finding a strong, central Leader for our people to rally behind, rather than a vague group. I still hope to do this, and to show how a Leader should truly behave-- In the interests of the people.

Those who would attempt to slander me, I would ask the honor of having it done in plain words, and insults. It is much easier to prove someones words false, if they have the courage to actually speak them.
